Festival of Remembrance 2011 Tickets on sale

Cradley Heath Salvation Army Band is pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale for our fifth annual Festival of Remembrance with Voices in Harmony choir.
The concert takes place on Saturday 12 November 2011 at 7:00pm. Tickets are priced £5.00 (plus booking fee) and are on sale now through our ticket partners Eventbrite – here or by using the ticket form below. Proceeds will go to The Poppy Appeal. They will also be available shortly from Voices in Harmony Choir and from the General Office at The Salvation Army, Meredith Street, Cradley Heath, West Midlands B64 5EP from Sunday 25 September 2011.
The festival will be both a thought-provoking and enjoyable evening, an opportunity for the local community of Cradley Heath to remember and honour those who have lost their lives in conflicts on our behalf.
It is hoped the festival will be attended by The Worship the Mayor of Sandwell and other civic dignitaries, members of the emergency services, Baden-Powell troops and members of the armed services.
The festival will conclude at approximately 8:45pm after a short remembrance service and tea and coffee will then be available.

Rob Westwood-Payne grew up in The Salvation Army at Norwich Citadel. He left Norwich to study at the University of Warwick and became fully involved in the music centre there culminating in his conducting Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue to a full house in Symphony Hall in Birmingham. He also transferred to The Salvation Army at Coventry City, where he became Songster Leader at the age of 21. He was made Songster Leader at Cradley Heath in April 1998 shortly before marrying Gail in the following October. He was commissioned Bandmaster of the Cradley Heath Band of The Salvation Army in January 2006. He is a former leader of the West Midlands Divisional Youth Chorus and is currently Programme Director at the West Midlands Divisional Summer School for The Salvation Army. He is an Associate Solicitor in the Licensing Team of a national practice based in the south west.
